Why Mexico?

Every year, thousands of foreigners move to Mexico for a variety of different reasons.  Some will go to Mexico to study, others to work for a company that has sent them there on assignment, some people move to Mexico in search of a new life, usually after having visited several times, perhaps for extended periods, but the main reason to move to Mexico is to enjoy a high quality retirement.

Why?

The climate is superb, the facilities are good, it’s safe and very importantly – their pensions and investment money can go further in Mexico that they do in the USA, Canada or Europe – so they may enjoy a higher standard of living. Living in Mexico offers and adventure and a learning experience every single day.

So many things are different, so many things are oddly the same. Not only is Mexico rich with culture, history and natural beauty, it has qualities that make foreigners from around the world feel right at home.

Why Cabo ?

Located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, Los Cabos is the name used to describe the coastal communities forming the transition between the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez . Surrounded by the ocean and mile after mile of dramatic coastline, Los Cabos has been attracting significant foreign investment since the 1970’s.  In the last decade Los Cabos has grown into a truly one of a kind destination. World Class resorts and communities have been designed to blend in with the beautiful natural landscape. The scenery and climate provide the ideal setting for a host of recreational and leisure activities. When you add the fact that Los Cabos is the most accessible tropical getaway for much of the U.S and , it is easy to see why it is home to some of the most desirable beachfront and ocean view real estate in the World.

Two hours by air from Southern California and easily accessible from all over North America, there are few places in the world that are as safe and easy for American and International Visitors.  Los Cabos International airport puts you right in the middle of an amazingly diverse region, and within an hour’s drive of over 100 miles of coastline. The second your plane touches ground, you are surrounded by beautiful beaches and picturesque desert landscape.  The terminal is seven miles from the beach, and travelers are just minutes away from choosing between a host of activities or a welcoming margarita.

There is something available here for every visitor, and every resident, no matter what their lifestyle, or their budget is. Located at the very furthest southern point of the Baja California Sur, and easily accesible by both land and see. If traveling by land, it is about 1000 miles from San Diego, and it is about 20 minutes from the Los Cabos international Airport.

Baja California Sur is Mexico’s primary neighbor to the Sea of Cortes and is a land full of contrast with its islands, marine life, desert, mountains and huge arroyos. This unique combination puts our destination in a special position within the tourism industry.

Los Cabos, which started in 1956 with twelve rooms at the Palmilla Hotel, now has over 11,000 rooms. Up until the end of 2008, statistics showed continued growth, with the highest daily average rate and revenue per available room in the country.

The average stay continues to be close to four days, and its proximity to the primary North American markets enables guests visit Cabo several times during the year. Since 1990, it has also become a popular second home market for Canadians and Americans; it has achieved a reputation as the home for celebrities, families, and retired couples. The quality of homes, the variety of developments and activities, and its unique climate and topography make it ideal for real estate development. More and more, people are buying real estate through either the traditional trust (Fideicomiso) or a company purchase. The buyers’ usage patterns have changed, as they now seem to spend more time with their family and friends in a fantastic climate.

As the destination has improved its infrastructure and become more appealing to visitors from all age groups, the number of people staying in homes or condos has grown immensely. The well-established real estate broker community, the existence of title insurance, reputable developers, and a healthy banking system have facilitated the growth of home purchases made by foreign visitors. Visiting and buying in Los Cabos has become a priority for North Americans.

With great opportunities that exist today, it is time to visit and explore Los Cabos. Cabo is still small and charming by any standards. And with the number of activities available to the visitor, you could easily imagine that you are in a giant amusement park. Golf has become a major factor in the Cabo San Lucas equation, with five championship courses complete and more on the way, Los Cabos has quietly become the golf capital of México.

Cabo has come of age. Located at the southernmost tip of the magnificent Baja peninsula, Cabo has been blessed with what many describe as the perfect climate. Average year-round temperature is 78 degrees, it is a little cooler in the winter and a bit warmer in the summer.

For years Cabo was the remote playground reserved solely for private yacht owners. They flocked here to be near “Marlin Alley” , as the waters around Cabo have often been described. The name is well deserved, as Cabo San Lucas is the undisputed billfish capital of the world. But Cabo is far from remote these days, and the attraction of this magical spot is no longer limited to marlin fishing. Cabo can be, many different things to people.
